Laurie and Connor are two filmmakers from Penzance, Cornwall based in South London. Together we founded Down & Out, a creative production agency dedicated to helping businesses find their own, unique voice and make an impact.

Connor has been messing around with cameras from the age of 16. He didn’t study at University, learning on the job instead. Working with Fashion and Lifestyle brands, creating campaign videos, and photoshoots. Working with brands such as Merrachi, Vans Europe, Gumball 3000 and Ann Summers to name just a few.

His Debut film, Rock, Paper, Scissors, was shot on 16mm black & white Kodak Tri-X negative film, mixed by Celladore Productions. Often caught day dreaming about ideas for shoots and scripts.

He enjoys tea, toast and the ocean.

Laurie Studied Practical Filmmaking at Kingston. Then he worked in-house at Blink. After that he joined RED management, where he currently works in Production.

His debut film, Hector’s Proclamation, was mixed and mastered at Pinewood Studios, comprising 185 shots and 50 cast members in just over 8 minutes. He writes, directs, produces and edits, and has made films with Moby, EE, Sky, Pride and more.

He enjoys La Haine, Trainspotting and The Stone Roses.
